The second phase discussions held in 2023, focused on using the recommendations from phase one to inform legislative changes that would complement the proposal we are presenting today.”

Expounding on the impetus of the November 06 workshop facilitated by Dr. Ellen Hazelkorn and Dr. Thomas Bolland of BH Associates Educational Consultants, Mrs. Francis shared

“The consultants are reviewing the newly proposed Accreditation and Registration System for St. Kitts and Nevis, which includes a registration process for new tertiary education providers as well as the outlined accreditation process. Participants will also explore the standards and expectations for educational institutions that operate in St. Kitts and Nevis as it pertain to ensuring quality within the respective institutions and abiding by the quality standard set by the St. Kitts and Nevis Accreditation Board. Hence, stakeholders will be sensitized and provide feedback as it relates to the proposals being made and how they would affect their institutions.”

The St. Kitts and Nevis Accreditation Board evaluates the higher education institutions and their programs to ensure it meets certain requirements.
